Gaiwan

Blue and White Porcelain Gaiwan.
 
Gaiwan is (Tea Bowl with Fitted Cover) usually used to brew Chinese teas since the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911).
According to ancient Chinese philosophy, the design of the gaiwan which includes a top cover a bowl and a base is meant to resemble the “sky, earth and people.”
